The headquarters of Tessitura Luigi Bevilacqua are located in the heart of the Santa Croce district, a stone's throw from the Grand Canal: it’s there that the Bevilacqua family has maintained one of the oldest traditions of the city since the 16th century. Beyond the entrance door, the eighteenth-century looms recovered by Luigi Bevilacqua in 1875 from the Silk School of the Serenissima, the same ones depicted in the Encyclopedia of Diderot and D'Alembert. Not only hand-made velvets, but also brocades, checkers, lampas and satins for prestigious theatres and residences such as the White House, the Kremlin and the Stockholm City Hall.
