Located in the historic center of Follina, a village whose name derives from the "fulling", an activity of washing and felting woollen cloths, the Paoletti wool mill is a real jewel of industrial archeology. Since 1795 the Paoletti family, now in the tenth generation, has resisted the passing of the centuries, wars and crises, becoming a leading reality in the Made in Italy chain. The oldest part of the complex now houses the historical archive, a veritable heritage of weaves and colours that tell the story of the full wool carding process.

Lanificio Paoletti is a several centuries-old textile manufacturer that specializes in the complete cycle of creating and producing textiles made of pure, carded wool. The wool mill was founded in 1795 and is now managed by the tenth generation of the family. We work with the most exclusive fashion brands in Italy and around the world, marrying research and tradition with a sense of spirit and grace.

Lanificio Paoletti’s textiles have always been tied to the river that runs through the old town of Follina in the Veneto. Cistercian monks introduced the art of wool here already in the middle ages. It was in this rainy valley that the tradition of fulling, or wool felting, first began.

Founded in 1795, our family’s mill has been developing and weaving pure carded wool textiles for more than two centuries. We specialize in developing and manufacturing fancy textiles for outerwear using lambs wool, shetland, and tweed. We create our own exclusive line of blended colors each season.
